a secured payment method
Online payments on the website noveo.direct are processed through the secure online payment service Mercanet by BNP Paribas Bank. Mercanet is a secure payment solution on the Internet for both the merchant and the online user.
For the online user
The security of the payment relies on the use of the SSL protocol (Secure Socket Layer: an international standard that allows encrypted data transfers on the Internet) . The card number is thus encrypted between the browser and the Mercanet server. The latter is the sole recipient of the card information, the merchant does not have access to the card details of their online customers. The security of transactions is entirely ensured by Mercanet, in collaboration with the online user, the merchant, and the banking system.
For the merchant

The fundamentals of Mercanet are based on four essential pillars: 1. Merchant authentication (via secret keys or merchant certificates). 2. Authorization request (with verification of the visual cryptogram during the first transaction) from the cardholder's bank: in case of any issue (non-existent, lost, or stolen card), the transaction is immediately stopped. 3. Confidentiality of the data that is transmitted encrypted over the Internet (card number, expiration date, etc.). 4. Integrity of the exchanged messages is verified. |

L’apport de 3D Secure
For merchants subscribed to the 3D Secure service, referred to by the Visa and MasterCard networks as "Verified By Visa" and "MasterCard SecureCode" respectively, the payment transaction is subject to authentication if the card is identified as 3D Secure.
On one hand, the online user is assured that they are providing their bank details to their bank. On the other hand, the merchant is assured that their customer is indeed the cardholder, as they will have been authenticated by their bank.
The merchant can thus benefit from payment guarantees under certain conditions depending on the applicable regulations. Authentication via 3D Secure is fully integrated into Mercanet and requires no additional development for the merchant.
